The project is located on a plot with a very small area, generating many constraints and requiring optimisation of the dwelling’s dimension. The design of this small building, both simple and refined, is based on a programme that required the creation of one apartment per floor. A quality external extension is required. The five 5-roomed apartments are here superimposed on an entrance floor that is partly below ground, forming the building’s base. Each dwelling has its own private access by lift which becomes the main means of accessing the building. The day areas are placed one after the other on rue de la Roseraie, with a very large terrace dominating the neighborhood. The night rooms are facing the hill and in close proximity to numerous planted trees. The special feature of the structure also resides in the alternating installation of cantilevered balconies in front of large sliding windows with natural wood frames. They thus generate double storeys outside, offering interesting spatiality. The remainder of the façade is composed of a white roughcast, pierced by large rectangular windows, also with natural wood frames.
